Body:
The goal of the Webinar will be to explain how to manage and process audio and video using PL/SQL inside an Oracle database. This Webinar will initially describe the cases for when video and audio should be stored in an Oracle database or outside of an Oracle database. It will cover how to deal with all the different video and audio codecs available in the marketplace and methods for how to process them.
Also described will be how to create a table to store video and audio and what the storage parameters mean. Limitations with the Oracle database will be described. In addition, examples of loading, identifying, and transforming video and audio using PL/SQL will be given. An overview of audio and video delivery will be given including streaming, compression, downloading, e-mail, and ftp.
The Webinar will cover Oracle 11gR2, but will also cover Oracle 10, Oracle XE, and the issues dealing with video and audio running on Windows, Solaris, and Linux. Real life case studies using museums and galleries from around the world will be given.
