This presentation will discuss emerging strategies to enable Oracle databases via the cloud. The key themes the presentation will cover include the evolution of Database As A Service (DBAAS), what Oracle’s cloud strategy is and finally some operational models for deploying Database As A Service via the Cloud. To keep it (hopefully) interesting the context of the presentation will focus on relevance to the New Zealand market place.

Presenter Biography: 
Tim has broad experience in many facets of Information Technology. A long career in IT Consulting, both whilst in the employ of technology vendors and also as an independant entity have given him the opportunity to observe and assist a variety of customers across a range of problem spaces. He delves into this pool of experience to find a pragmatic approach to problem solving, be it assembling a strategy and roadmap, describing an effective solution architecture, or effectively communicating a new problem or concept to stakeholders.
