Emergency Services Mapping, Location Data and Services

New Zealand Police, on behalf of Emergency Services, have tendered for the provision of mapping and location data and have selected Terralink International Ltd as the preferred supplier of this data. This data will be used by the following key Emergency Service agencies: •New Zealand Police •New Zealand Fire Service •St John Ambulance •Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management •New Zealand Defence Force. Terralink and New Zealand Police have built a secure extranet for the Emergency Services Cluster group and eligible Government agencies. This presentation will show how Oracle is used to provide the location data and services required for Emergency Services. A description of the accurate, timely and comprehensive spatial datasets critical for emergencies is given. Reference to the Christchurch earthquakes is included along with Terralink's Streetcam's Red Zone video footage.
