Lessons learned developing on the AWS platform
Reviewing our experience developing on the AWS platform and the changes in behavior we are driving through our internal teams to take advantage of the platforms agility and services provided, and a review of the lessons learned (good and bad) along the way.
Some of the concepts and discussion points will be around: Parallel development and testing, Fail fast and cheap, architecting for high availability, speed to deploy.
I will present reference architectures, and conceptual diagrams for discussion and a look at how cost savings over traditional platform deployments can be made - through scheduling, scaling, and smarter resource use.
