NZ Post's goal is to have quality address data services. The National Postal Address Database (NPAD) is the single source of accurate address data, however updating alternative address nformation in a timely manner can be a complex database task. Application Express was utilised to create NPAD Data Attributes Maintenance (NDAM). This is integrated with the NZPOST business directory and updates data in real time. The implementation has drastically reduced resource requirements and provides improved control over quality. What a time saver, want to know more?

It also ensures that the solution being implemented will unlock significant business value, is inherently sound and will be as robust as possible. The rationale for using each of the principles will be highlighted, with its desired result discussed.
